My daughter has always been very shy and was always the child sitting on the side lines watching the other kids play because she was afraid to join in. Being part of the Panther team this year has provided her with the confidence to join in the games and to make new friends. The time invested in practices and competitions is “her time” and she is in her glory!
Panthers really is a family, not only has my daughter made some wonderful friendships, so have I!
For us, most importantly it’s the life skills she is learning about being a good sport, trying your best, being kind and considerate of others, being dependable, working hard and being committed to yourself and your squad. These lessons are reinforced through positive peer relationships, as well as modelled by their coaches and most importantly, from the owners of the gym.
The positive role models the coaching staff provides have impressed me year after year. I can say that my daughter’s involvement with this sport has provided her with excellent opportunities to train and achieve athletically, but at the same time adopt positive community values and also increase her self-esteem and confidence.
I am thrilled to provide my personal endorsement of the Panther Cheer Organization. They are strong proponents of All Star Cheer and take the sport and the athleticism required seriously. The true strength in the organization are the positive values modeled by the management and staff.
All of the coaches are so positive and encouraging too- which makes you feel so good inside! 🙂 Joining cheer was the best decision of my entire life.
I joined cheer after being stuck in a rut and wanting to try something new. After hearing all of the girls at school talk about it I thought I’d give it a try and fell in love! There is no better feeling than the satisfaction you get from getting a new skill or hitting that stunt.
She enjoys the friendships she’s made, the role models of our passionate coaches, and the caring and campassion, and love of the owners. Being a part of Panthers has also allowed Paris to have a constant & familiar setting in her life during some very heart breaking & very difficult times and helped her to move on.
We have also told her if she wanted to do this – cheer is Sept to May 3/days/week – a huge commitment for a child but that sums it up someone so young that loves it that much. I think everyone from K to Gr 3 has had some cheer training / demo from her (including our dogs) she can’t walk past a window or mirror where she doesn’t stop to do a cheer pose/jump.
At first cheer was not something we were looking for summer came about & we saw an ad in the local paper for a 2 week summer camp “great we thought” something she (a 3yr old) could do & we would have some time to get stuff done. After the camp was over she looked at us & asked to go back – go back – well we hadn’t considered that – well…that was 6 yrs ago & she is still here!!!
